Why do I need to do extra reading?

Reading is so important! Whether you are reading an online article, a fiction book, or your favourite celebrity's autobiography, you MUST keep on reading!!! Extra reading will:

-
Build your comprehension and inference skills (vital for GCSE English!).
-
Help to extend your vocabulary, so that you can impress the examiners - and your classmates!
-
Inspire you with your own creative writing.
-
Open your mind to different cultures, religions and individuals.
-
Help you to understand key historical, social and political events.
-
Help you with the writing requirements in your other subjects.
-
Help you with SPAG!!!
-
Make you a well-rounded individual, who can contribute to interesting and intelligent discussions.
